Reiki with Emma

Reiki  hands on healing is a gentle approach to relaxation, meditation and healing. Reiki is an effective method to enhance other healing modalities, especially helpful for conditions such as fibromyalgia and PTSD.
Emma specifically focuses on trauma, social justice, cross generational trauma and wisdom.  This is also a safe space for people who are neurodivergent including autistics and people with ADHD.

COVID UPDATE:
Due to covid-19 and the other endemic viruses, all sessions will be performed outdoors, including our concierge service.  We can provide space heaters and blankets.  Reiki is performed fully clothed.  At DragonflyHill we can offer a private space for reiki in a safe outdoor setting. Distance reiki sessions also available.

Treatments based on a sliding scale of $20-$40 for a 30 minute session, and $45-$75 for a one hour session.

  • Concierge Reiki, in your home: $150 an hour.  (Within 5 miles. costs are adjusted  for additional travel time).

What to Expect in a Reiki Session

Reiki is a hands on modality that gently supports the client towards health and healing. In a typical reiki session, the client lies on a massage table fully clothed and the practitioner places their*  hands on specific points on or near the client’s body, focusing on areas of concern, as well as on the body as a whole. While reiki complements other Reiki spelled out in Japanese calligraphyhealing modalities it is not a cure in and of itself and for serious conditions and diagnosis, clients still must consult with and obtain the support of medical physicians.  Claims that reiki can cure cancer or other life threatening illnesses are not only false, but dangerous and cruel. Because it is less aggressive and invasive than massage, reiki can prevent the spread of some illnesses that other hands on modalities might promote. Try it. If you feel more relaxed and able to respond to the world, after a reiki session, then you will find it helpful.

Reiki and Radical Healing with Emma, also includes conversation that integrates the physical realities of the client to the daily struggles and external realities that the client encounters.

DragonflyHill Desert Farm is partially wheelchair accessible. We are working on increased access all the time. Currently we do not have a wheelchair accessible bathroom and access to the reiki room via wheelchair requires advanced notice so we can install a temporary ramp.  Reiki with Emma  and Radical Healing is DISability (disability), LGBTQIA affirmative, anti-sexist, anti-racist, decolonialist, anti-imperialist and anti-capitalist, because anything else is just a bandaid.

About

Emma Rosenthal is a human rights activist all her life, and has been a reiki practitioner for over 10 years. She combines reiki hands on healing with her work in social justice by focusing on healing that empowers individual and community health,  supporting radical social change. She deeply believes that we cannot have individual well-being or health within social systems that are inherently unhealthy and debilitating.

Her own health informed her decision to become a reiki practitioner, because she found its simplicity and gentleness very helpful in her own struggles within a brutal society based in a violent body politic.  She could not separate the contradictions she had with the larger society from her own physicality and felt bombarded by the pervasive values in alternative healing and spirituality that blames the victim/client/patient for causing their own conditions and reality, as if we could step outside of the conditions of our lives, as if those conditions weren’t based on material realities that couldn’t be altered simply by perception or individual will and imagination.

Emma treats people one on one and in group settings, blending current physical and emotional struggles with the external realities and the struggle for a better, more just, world.

Emma is a certificated Reiki Practitioner, a credential teacher and a ordained minister in the Universal Life Church.
